Facts:

My birthday is nine days before Christmas.
I'm going to be twenty-one this year.
I don't particularly care because I don't drink.
I also don't go to frat parties, smoke, or do other "typical college" things.
My Friday nights usually consist of work rather than partying.
I wouldn't have it any other way.

When given the choice I take the stairs instead of the elevator.
It's because I'm impatient.
About everything.

I'm the only left-handed person in my family except for one of my aunts.
Because of this, my sister calls me the "spawn of Satan".
I love being left-handed.
I also love my sister.
And my dog.

When watching movies, I tend to cry when animals get hurt.
That is, if I haven't already fallen asleep by then.

Sleeping is one of my favorite pasttimes.
It's because I rarely get to do it.
Unless it's daylight.

My job has screwed up my natural sleep patterns.
Last night I went to sleep at 8 PM and woke up at 2 AM.
I may be a vampire.
Except I don't drink blood.
Because that's just gross.

I want to be a teacher because I love working with children.
I used to want to work with animals, but decided against it because I wouldn't be able to handle it when they died.
Children tend not to die on the job.
I hope.

Hearing the words "I love you" used to make me feel smothered.
Now I can't get enough of it.
What can I say? I love to be loved.
I'm very physically affectionate.

I adore the beach, and the woods, and grass and trees and the sky and stars and the moon and rain and thunder and sunshine and clouds...
I love being outdoors more than anything.
Except my sister.
And my dog.

I hate close-toed shoes.
If I had it my way, I'd go around barefoot all the time.
As it is, I wear sandals.
All the time.
Unless I'm wearing my cleats.

As of today I have not eaten red meat for six years and seventeen days.
The last time I did, it was a piece of bacon on February 17, 1998.
They make soy bacon.
Tastes just the same, except animals didn't die to make it.
I do occassionally eat chicken or turkey.
I don't know how I reconcile that, either.
The last time I ate meat was December 25th, 2003.
That's Christmas.
It's nine days after my birthday.

I have a love/hate relationship with medicine.
I generally don't like it.
I still take it.
Sometimes.

I forgot my New Year's resolution already.
I think it was something about remembering more.
I'm serious.

I've played soccer since I was eight years old.
I'm going to join the IM team once spring quarter starts.
I still can't play properly, though, because of my fractured toe.
It's the big toe on my left foot. The one I use to kick.
I'm left-footed, too.

When I'm frustrated, I go running.
This has been a recent addition to my life, and I love it.
I also go running when I'm happy, energetic, or eager to be outside.
You don't kick anything when you run.
Take that, fractured toe.

Doing athletic things is hard for me because I have activity-induced asthma.
I have to bring my inhaler to soccer games with me because I tend to push myself too far and thus not pull myself out of a game when I should.
This usually results in my keeling over on the field, making horrible rasping noises because I can't breathe.
Sometimes they stop the game because of it.
It's incredibly embarassing.
My mother's learned to watch for this.
She yells at me from the sidelines.

I stole this format from someone.
He stole it from someone else.
Such is life.

I support the fact that everyone has a right to believe as they choose, whether they're Catholic, spiritualist, or atheist.
I'm a Christian.
I'm not afraid of death.

I want to go sky-diving someday.
And travel the world.
It's my goal to set foot on every continent in the world before I bite the dust.

I love to read.
Anything.
Unless it's for a class.
Unless it's for an English class.

I partially run a role-playing website.
I get to authorize new members, raise people between ranks, maintain pages, and do other things.
I love it.

I like finding beauty in everything.
Like a song, or a sunset, or a clean room.
Or a trashcan.

When my roommates and I get an apartment next year, we're planning to get a dog.
Vanessa says it has to sleep on the balcony.
That's what she thinks.
